Didn't fix my computer none... it still froze overnight. I unstalled Nero earlier today. We'll see if it freezes again.

Yeah, I reckon it's Norton that's slowing down my sister's computer. Takes ages too boot up.

Right now I'm behind Sophos antivirus. I don't know what firewall the university uses.

ran across this when I was signing up for a digital certificate from the same site. If anyone is looking for a firewall / antivirus and does not like any of the previous recommendations you can check out these Apps:

Comodo Personal Firewall
Comodo Anti Virus

Well, I uninstalled AVG Free, and am running NOD32...

Any antivirus program that comes with a song must be good, right..? Man, so far, its quiet as kept...Not that I visit sites that are virus prone, but its seemingly so efficient that I don't know if its even running or not, LoL...

Kramer: I've cut slices so thin I couldn't even see them.
Elaine: So how do you know if you actually cut them?
Kramer: Well, I always just assumed...

Well, my Norton Antivirus just ended and now I'm looking for a replacement. I've read through this thread and have deduced that AVG is the favorite of the majority, so I'm leaning toward getting that now.

However, I wanna ask: Did Norton Antivirus come with a firewall or was that separate? Because I know it had a feature called "Auto-Protect" and I don't know if that was it's firewall or not. (I'm thinking no)

Does AVG have something that's similar to Norton Antivirus' "Auto-Protect"?

There is a version of AVG that comes complete w/Firewall, and I have tried it and found it good, but not good enough to replace my Windows firewall and AVG Free...

So there was no firewall with Norton Antivirus right? It just used the Windows Firewall?

And you'd suggest using just AVG Free with Windows Firewall instead of getting the full version of AVG?
