My Game

Ok so my last assignment of the semester was to make a game from scratch basically. So what I did was make a game..

Now I didnt know how to export it as an exe so if someone cud do that it would be awesome. The zip file is at this location of all the neccsarry source code for the game.
Rush For Gold In Space.Zip

if not then just open the file A4App in text pad and press "ctrl" + "2" and you should be able to play the game.

tried CTRL+2 in Notepad... nothing happened... am i supposed to be using a specific program to do it in?

lol yeah its the "Text pad ". It wont work in note pad coz note pad doesnt really work java files....

or you could do it through command prompt as well.

As long as you have java in your path file thingy, just make the directory to where the file is stored and go .... java A4App

I think it should work. I havn't used the command prompt in a while so yeah just try to see if it works

tried doing it through java.... got a heaping number of errors.... my bud is in computer sciences here... i'll see if i can get him to make this into an executable file...

well i think I finally made it into a jar file. It works on my computer fine after I unziped it and opened the "space rush.jar " file. So could some one try it and tell me what you think of it. and remember that it was an assignment for a 1st year programming student. It isnt anything flashy ..

Thanks A, and lightfoot . dont know who you are talking about lol but yeah it was just an assignment man. I wanted to do so much more with this game, like restarting after game is over without having to close the window and allowing special circumstances, like if you collect certain amounts of gold nuggets then the enemies dissapear and all that stuff. But I kept haiving null pointer exceptions whenever I tried. So I thought that I had already accomplished everthing that the assignment asked for so I could easily get full marks and not try to over do it. But them bitches cut mark of for indentation. :evil:

But now im doing vb.net ie visual basic. We were just playing around with ms agents. Haha it was so cool. There is some pretty crazy stuff u can do man. And its way easier then java. Plus I have done a little bit of VB before so its just building on those skills.
