QUOTECAIRO, Egypt (AP) - Al-Qaida in Iraq is naming a successor to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
The group says its new leader is a militant it identifies as Abu Hamza al-Muhajer. The authenticity of the statement has not been independently confirmed.
The name al-Muhajer in Arabic means "immigrant," suggesting he is not Iraqi by birth.
The statement signed by the group on an Islamic militant Web forum says al-Muhajer is "a beloved brother" with holy war experience and what it terms "a strong footing in knowledge."
Yesterday, the organization vowed not to be deterred by al-Zarqawi's death in an airstrike last week and promised "major attacks."

Oh, c'mon. His name is IMMIGRANT??? Who says those wacky Jihadi don't have a sense of humour?
His names means : Father Steady The Immigrant.
I say we call him "Big Daddy Steady" and get him a purple felt turban with a spinner on it. and a rose-gold grill that says "allah the merciful" on it in arabic.
i'm serious let's treat him like a pimp king for the few months he has left to live.
...and then its off to camelot on a redeye flight, ya big pimp!
coffee is good,

I wonder if "radical" Islam will follow the Catholic lead and make some sort of statement correcting their retarded notion of an afterlife. I'm pretty sure they won't run our of martyrs any time soon, so I'm just wondering if they can finally come to terms with the fact that killing one or many is only that, not holy, not sacred, not venerable.
I don't think Islamic dogma is retarded...I think accepting these promises as fact, really is. No guarantees, no complaint dept., in every other aspect of life, humans would complain, not so with ethereal rewards. That goes for GI Joe as well as Cobra.
They don't have to get it right, it REALLY is the thought that counts.

haha. that post really indeed is kinda funny raum, but well. i am not entirely surprised that Zarqawi is replaced that quick - you are a few days late with the news too.
fact is: the US should never have invaded. it was just not just. there was no reason, no clear and present danger, no link to Al Quaeda, no WMD. There just was a UN resolution and inspection weakened dictator who did most of his crimes while the West turned a blind eye. The mini-coalition's approach has proven to be more of a death-mill than Saddam's regime - or will soon be and it was wrong, that mini-coalition's approach.
... and we got an increased worldwide terrorist threat treat. nyam-nyam. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

Im not catholic so im not gonna get into your beef with them.I dont see radical islam as a true muselum religion.I see them as a hate group who creat an enemy to blame so they can recruit young people. They than use that hate to screw up the recruits minds with false interpretations of the musilum faith. There goal isn't even really to destroy us.They know thats impossible. Were just the excuse to form an army so they can take over places like saudi arabia.

P-Steady is his official name on this thread.
Brilliant!
seriously, i like how they "made an anouncement they chose a new leader" like a democratic appointment.
brilliant media strategy.
when in reality it was obvious no one was left to lead, so they had to get an immigrant.
--------------
is it time to feed this one to the volcano yet?

So should we start taking bets on how long it'll take for him to be killed? That guy really isn't going to last long.
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"
