No knock, knock
I know if my door is kicked in, someone is going to get shot. Knowing my luck, I would end up on Death Row for killing a cop in my livingroom and having to pray that the same judge's who created the situtation in the first place, would spare my life. That sure would suck.

No cop is just gonna come running into my house like that. I'll fucking take one of them out. Knock and give me time to put all the drugs away...then you can have more of an adventure finding them

they still have to get a court-issued warrant, and they still have to follow the laws of lawful entry.
this is designed to not let people get off with an illegal search defense because they didn't offer the cops who were serving a warrant tea and cookies when they showed up.. It used to be if the owner did allow you in, anything you found was circumstantial and not admissable in court.
this is more about what is now allowable in court, than what a cop can actually do. he could always enter the premises to serve a warrant to search the premises, now his findings are admissable.
