I will not hesitate to say that the Canadian military is a huge factor in Afghanistan.
but Afghanistan seems to be getting on board already. Hell, they even said club Gitmo is a place worth getting a membership!
see, this is Afghanistan, though. If Reagan would have really lent them the rebuild effort he promised them for helping stand against the russians, this war in Afghanistan would have never happened.
and that is how all this falls back on Alzheimer's disease... he literally forgot his promise. never remembered making it.
damn shame.

Dude, the Canadians have made a HUGE impact in Afghanistan. We were involved from the beginning. We shipped out our Special Forces in December of 2001. Our guys have been in and out of Afghanistan ever since.
I'll read the article tomorrow when I'm a little more stable, but there's no doubt Canada's involvement is important!

Well, to be honest I knew that, I was talking about getting news coverage showing the world. The Afgan mission has been on the back burner for about three years now. I was not trying to insult any drunk Canadians tonight.

Well, that was mainly in response to raum's post. lol That's one thing that annoys me about Afghanistan. There's virtually no coverage. Everyday there's an article about Iraq, but you'll be extremely lucky to find an article about Afghanistan.

Standing up against it would mean that the Dems and the media are against kicking some ass over 9/11.

I'm glad that some people are over there helping us. Canada has been a huge part of that success. Are they in Iraq with us also?
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Yes and no. Our old Prime Minister said no because like all the other douchebags he thought the war was unwarranted. However, we have shipped troops to Afghanistan before to free up some American troops, and we did have a few guys in Iraq because of an exchange program between our countries. If I'm not mistaken, we also helped out with the elections.
