QUOTE(Buffmaster)If we do, it's considered an Act of War.

And that's why they won't. Whether North Korea is actually dumb enough to launch it, I don't know. But there won't be an American missile.

It might be considered as a preemptive strike by N Korea though. You know how our government views preemptive strikes
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

Yes, but we're not talking about Iraq here. North Korea is a more formidable opponent. The situation has to be approached with caution.

Yea that's true but I still don't think the US will let the missle get off the ground. If it does it off the ground I don't think it'll last very long

I really don't think the U.S. will shoot it down. I'm not even sure if North Korea will fire the damn thing. lol This tells you how sad the situation is:

"North Korea said Wednesday it wants direct talks with the United States over its apparent plans to test-fire a long-range missile, but a top U.S. envoy rejected the request."

They've been asking for direct talks with the U.S. for the last few years. This, to me, just seems like a ploy to get the U.S. to agree.

kramer: "Great! Let's ban all communication. Dialogue leads to nothing. Rrrrrrezzzzolve does." Correct?

tt: your gov likes pre-emptive strikes a lot! so we obviously should allow Korea to, no? or are we talking double standards... again?

@all: how many missiles did the US test the last year? how many war machines? 5? 10? 20?

we have:
- a US Military FCT contract for High Speed Amphibians
- U.S. Combat Vehicles to get enhanced vision
- a B-1 Bomber Radar upgrade
- a Super Hornet demonstrating network capability in multiple JDAM drop
- an Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS II)
- an ULTRA AP (Armored Patrol) Military Combat Vehicle Concept
- met the SLAM-ER
- The world's most lethal six-shot revolver
- the Howitzer M777
- Thermobaric weapons
- the Low-Cost Autonomous Attack System (LOCASS)

we might even have:
- Kelly the Dolphin: armed and dangerous? (which would outrage WWF)

and the West is nagging about a stupid, traditional, archaic, ballistic, long-range missile. God, we are full of ourselves!
