The other day I was talking to this christian girl and somehow it came up if she would ever date a non christian. She said that her religion (i.e. Christianity) doesn't allow her to date a guy who is not a christian by religion.
So I just want to know to which extent this is true and whether or not a christian person is allowed to have a relationship with a non christian.
The girl said something about a particular verse in the bible about not being with non christians. I dont remember what it was so the quote if someone can find it may be helpful as well.

I have never read anywhere in the bible where it says that you shouldn't date people of another faith I don't think, and it especially won't say Christianity specifically...Seems like she got some bad information, less I got something not quite right...

But on the real ask the broad if she has faith in God. And if she has faith in God then she believes in man because we are the embodiment of our Father regardless of what religion we practice. So to have faith in God is to believe in man and as long as you presented your self to her in a positive way then I wouldn't worry about it. Yea, there is that verse that says not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers. This isn't saying not that you shoulndn't talk to or even date non-Christians. It is saying not to be unequal in that relationship. Don't let the non-Christian bring you down. I have found this a pretty good rule of thumb for any business deal I do also. With a fellow Christian it is a lot easier to do business. Some people have taken this verse to say that you cannot date or marry non-Christians but I really don't see that as the case. I've told myself that I'm not going to marry a non-Christian just because of differences in beliefs that could ruin a marriage, I don't see why you wouldn't want to date a non-Christian. My only guess is that she was thinking that she could be easily pressured into things

I had a girl do that to me years ago.She flirted with me for a while and had my head spinning...amazingly good looking.After a couple weekes she tried to get me to go to church but i wasn"t into that back then.Soon after she lost interest.We had a lot in commen but the non christion stance was a deal breacker for her.Religion if taken seriosly touches every part of your life.When something is that much a part of who you are why wouldn"t you want to share that with who you hook up with.Dating is different than friendship.You want some one who will help you be the person you want to be..I say if you respect who she is than you should respect what ever her path is and support it.
