MTV is on CRACK!

Post by Habib »

Okayyyy guys, I was just browing on MTV, and I saw a new list they compiled, "The Greatest MC's of all Time"...

WHAT THE FUCK..?

Okay, here's what hurts me so badly, and what is a fucking pain, I feel like shooting them.
LoL who in hell debuted Eminem on #9, Biggie at #3, 2 Pac at #2 and guess who they made number 1 (Greatest rapper of all time)...........?

Imagine, that was Jay-Z..!

Okay, so Jay-Z over Pac, Biggie and Eminem? No shit man, they were probably smoking marijuana when they made that list.

Check it out, here's the link: http://www.mtv.com/bands/h/hip_hop_week/2006/emcees/

After the list, they made 'Honorable Mention', here it is: http://www.mtv.com/bands/h/hip_hop_week ... ex12.jhtml

Another reason why I don't watch....and have never liked MTV.

And be honest Habib, the real reason you're mad is because your man Dre didn't even make the honorable mention list lmao.

No man, it isn't that. I don't think Dre is one of the best rappers. He's only the best and I like him (IN MY OPINION). I don't ever say that outside because ALL the 2 Pac, Biggie, Jay-Z fans will EAT me if I say it. I know it isn't true, but I just like him. If they made a producer list of all time, he would CERTAINLY be debuted at the #1 spot (100% sure of that).

What makes me mad is how they put Jay-Z over Pac, Biggie, Eminem, Rakim, Ice Cube.

Rappers also gave their own lists: http://www.mtv.com/bands/h/hip_hop_week ... ex15.jhtml

Remember, if we say producing, I can agree that RIGHT NOW, Pharrell will crush Dre, yes, he is very innovative. But of all time? You gotta be playing. Of all time will have to go to Dre, if you even ask Pharrell himself, he won't say that he should be placed as the hip-hop producer of all time. Dude, Dre almost set the trends...

Okay, back to topic

What annoys me is how they put Jigga at #1, and Pac, Biggie at #2 and 3. How can they put someone at #1, when he copies who they put at #2 and 3..? And he has even been accused of biting lyrics from a good number of the dudes they placed under him.
It has to be a REALLY sad day/thing in hip-hop for who-so-ever ranked Jay-Z ahead of Biggie or Pac or Ice Cube.

Doesn't make sense to me in any way! And they even put him ahead of Eminem...

In fact, a proof that Eminem is a better rapper than Jay-Z, just go back to 'Renegade' and see how Eminem clearly outrapped Jay Z in that song.

lol hell nah @ habib brining up renegade...that used to be the track we used to freestyle to back in the day....and yes....em killed hova on that.

I think Jay-Z is the best enterprise in Hip-Hop. He's a better entrepnuer than Diddy...and is really doing his thing. With Beyonce too? Yeah....he's got it going on....

But if we're talking straight up best rappers.....Shaun Carter doesn't even make my top 5.....he's probably on my top 10....but no where near the top.

Why do you say it's a shame they ranked him above Ice Cube?

I would rank him above Cube.....you wouldn't Habib?

I agree with you LG, he's in my top 10, but I CERTAINLY don't have Jigga Man in my top 5 of best rappers.

And hellzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz yeah anyday/anytime I would ALWAYS rank Ice Cube higher than Jay-Z. Ice Cube is just that shit, MANY undeniable classics under him.

KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, and Ice Cube are true legends man. They solidified any style of rap that is out there right now. And believe it or not, they did that shit WITHOUT the airplay that rappers have the opportnity of getting today.
