Yeah, ok, the only thing that even somewhat answered my question was the last article.
Even more, Lebanese Ambassador to the United States Farid Abboud has been recalled from his position, which is a coup for the 14 March politicians. Abboud is a close ally of Syrian appointed Lebanese President Emile Lahoud, who is Hezbollah's closest Christian ally. Sanioura was previously unable to remove Lahoud from office, but because of actions he took in Washington, DC today (I don't know the specifics) he has been recalled.
Am I reading this right? Who was recalled? I already know Abboud was for giving his support to Hezbollah, but has Lahoud been recalled as well? It was him and apparently the defence minister who were saying the Lebanese army would fight along side Hezbollah and that they'd cause significant damage to the IDF blah blah blah...
I haven't had a chance to read any articles, but I did notice a headline on CNN that said tanks moved into Lebanon... we'll see what happens I guess.

QUOTE(Kramer)You said the Lebanese had offered to help Israel fight Hezbollah when they first happened. What's changed?
err. maybe the fact that Israel's reaction has been SO friggen incredibely disproportionate that Lebanon now says "sod off, we'll (try to) fight you instead"?!
have you seen the destruction Israel caused on the ENTIRE state of Lebanon? Have you seen reports of tens of thousands of Lebanese fleeing? Have you heard civilians say "if we were not pro-Hezbollah before, we damn sure are now".
....
I guess not.

Maybe if they hadn't snatched them soldier's, we wouldn't be talking about how the Israeli's have responded. If you mess with the big boy's, expect to get smashed.

Kramer, I answered your question.
Anderson Cooper was talking about Lebanon's response last year.
------------------
And as far Israel. I support them. Hell, you all know that. I do not support what Hezbollah became, but there was a point where it was just a revolutionary militia, fighting to get Israel to end their occupation of Lebanon, which they considered themselves part of. Being that they were Muslims in this historically religiously diverse area, they allied with Syria, and sought help from other Msulims. But to be honest, all this over 9x2 miles of farmland is bullshit.
For that reason, even upon pain of international sanction, Israel should leave Chebaa farms, give it back to Syria, and get that focus be off of them. That has been identified as the SOLE reason HEzbollah has remained armed and independent of the Lebanese army. Israel keeps it out of arrogance, and the basis that it is according to legend the birthplace of David. But it is not part of Israel, nor was it ever. It was part of Judah.
------------------
That being said, casualties have been kept relatively low, but not low enough. What pisses me off is that Israel is fucking up in their response, and destroying the whole damn cityscape, and bombing the entire area to hell. But what the hell do they care, its not like they will have to pay for it.
Israel has this habit of not fucking thinking about anything when they are in a conflict. They come at it like they are untouchable. This is how they without reservation attacked the USS Liberty, which liberal democrat President Lyndon B. Johnson covered up.
Background
On June 8, 1967 while patrolling in international waters in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, USS Liberty (AGTR-5) was savagely attacked without warning or justification by air and naval forces of the state of Israel. They still defend themseves saying "How do we know it wasn't a spy?"
Of a crew of 294 officers and men (including three civilians), the ship suffered thirty four (34) killed in action and one hundred seventy three (173) wounded in action. The ship itself, a Forty Million ($40,000,000) Dollar state of the art signals intelligence (SIGINT) platform, was so badly damaged that it never sailed on an operational /imission again and was sold in 1970 for $101,666.66 as scrap.
They still admit they "thought" the water was theirs, and have not apologized for the attack of a US Naval Vessel ill-prepared to defend itself. And by no means are those 34 men the only ones who have died to Israeli aggression.
I support Israel, and did more than 85% of the people in Lebanon. I do not support the destruction of Lebanon, even in the pursuit of Hezbollah. They will never accomplish what they are taking on. Lebanon despised the census, or rather the lotting of people as numbers.
There is no official census, neither does Hezbollah have an official roster. Of course, Israel has no choice but to kill all shiite muslims in Lebanon, right? But who would dare admit they were Shia, so they have to kill the Sunni, and of course the Druze, as well. But see, who would say they are muslim? The only way to be sure of killing them all is to just kill the Arabs.
This makes me fucking sick. and so does that mentality.
Lebanon is one of the oldest countries in EXISTENCE, that yet still remains where it was originally.
In 3000 B.C that place was Lebanon, and it has been ever since.. Often, conquerors have come to Lebanon to EVERYTIME meet with a people bold and proud to protect their homes. All that changed as indiscriminate bombs were dropped on her, and her cedars shook snow from the last millineum from the cedars on the mountain which is her namesake.
You people can say what you want about Palestine, Israel, Iran, even Syria,.. Lebanon is Lebanon. No other like it in the region.
I hope Hezbollah pays for making the Lebanese suffer like this. And I hope Israel does not suffer as much as the Lebanese people are being made to by Israel.
but they have no idea what those people have done to stay there for more than 3,000 years, or what they will do to Israel for making them leave after one and a half millineum.

I just went through an entire transcript of Anderson Cooper's show and I couldn't even find mention of it... whatever. My eyes are killing me. Doesn't change shit, though... if the Lebanese army fights alongside Hezbollah, they're gonna fuck themselves...

What happened in Qana?
This is certainly interesting. Some people are beginning to question what really happened at Qana. Here are a few articles from IsraelInsider.com, and a translated article from a Lebanese source. I'll admit the translation isn't great, but it's the best I could do. lol
Hezbollywood? Evidence mounts that Qana collapse and deaths were staged
Mystery: Why did the Qana building fall only hours after it was struck?
Lebanese report: Hezbollah planted disabled children in basement to die
QUOTELebanon awoke on a new massacre of innocent, the victims are handicapped children who were taken refuge in a building which was attacked by Israeli aviation
Cana still, a symbol, "the grapes of anger" in 1996 had failed because of this bur. 40 or can be 50 killed today in Cana in the South Lebanon. Horror.
But why a similar bur, an error? A premeditated massacre? A source generally quite informed tells us his version:
†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬¢‚¬¦¢¢¬…œHez
bollah, wedged by the 7 points suggested by the Prime Minister Fouad Siniora, who put a plan of deployment of the Lebanese army on all the territory and primarily at the South Lebanon, and thus the disarmament of the militia of the party of God, wanted to ruin these negotiations. It put in pace a plan machiavelic by creating an event which would enable him to cancel this project. Knowing very well that Israel will not have a state of heart to bombard civil targets, militants of Hezbollah installed a base of launching of rockets on the roof from a building in Cana and y piled up crippled children in the firm intention to see a counterpart on behalf of Israeli aviation and to create a new situation, using the massacre of these innocent to take again the initiative of the negotiations.†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬?
Adding: †™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬¢‚¬¦¢¢¬…œthe
y have uses Cana which was already a symbol of a massacre the innocent ones, they fomented a Cana 2†™‚¢‚¢¢¢¬…¡‚¬?
Indeed the president of the room Nabih Berri announced that the negotiations with the American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will not be any more continued for the moment before having one cease unconditional fire, first claim of Hezbollah, it is necessary all to begin again again.
Source for Lebanese article
I'm going to continue to search for other sources...
Quick add-on here... it should be noted that CNN's Wolf Blitzer was asking Israel's ambassador to the U.N. about these allegations yesterday. The ambassador said we'd have to wait for the investigation to wrap up.

Disgusting!
If this is in fact true, which it appears to be, Lebanon, Syria, Iran and any other country that supports or supplies these monsters with either food or weapons should be held accountable and should suffer the same fate that Hezbollah itself deserves.
Thanks for the links Kramer.
