About $100, for the Belkin ones..
Personally, you can get yourself a TV tuner with component input, and record off that..

Gets you TV for the same price.. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Is it possible to take a video from a VHS and burn it onto a DVD CD?

One of my dad's co-workers needs this done, and apparently he blew up his VCR ( ), so he can't do it. lol

you might also want to be sure he knows that just putting it onto dvd does not improve the picture quality, you will be stuck with the resolution and quality of the source VHS. There are filters and stuff you can run it thru which may help a little, but it will not magically turn the VHS content into hi-def.

Yes, I've been doing it for several months now. You can go to Best Buy or Circuit City and get an adapter that connects to your computer at a USB port and the VHS player thru the video out jacks. There is software that comes with the adapter that transforms the line signal from the VHS player into DVD format. You can also hook up your video camera to the same adapter and copy your home vids. Of course if they're "naughty" we want to see them!

For about, hmm...Maybe $30 bucks if you find a deal, you can get an ATI All In Wonder card, hook up them comp. cables, and it multimedia center will record your VHS in a preset, preset format...That's about the easiest thing I can think of..!
