I hope it's better than Fantastic Four and The Hulk. I've always been a big Marvel fan. They nailed Spider-Man and X-Men. Here's hoping they get Iron-Man right...

Damn man... 2008? Gotta wait a long time. I also hope it's good... the super hero movies are kind of going downhill... the Hulk, Daredevil, the Punisher etc...

not sure if Jon Favereau can pull this one off....makes me a little nervous...because Iron Man is fucking awesome...
Mandarin has been confirmed as the villain....
and uh...why don't you guys like Hulk??
one of the best comic book films made yet IMO...
but yeah...DareDevil was complete and utter CRAP.

Jon Favereau, no fucking way. Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel, that guy should stick to comedies not action/superhero flicks.

All I know is they will get they ass kicked by the NAACP if they make a drunk rich white man flyin around in an indestructible suit of armour with lasers who is constantly making a black man stop doing his chores and do the fighting when it gets really thick... and if they whoopin ass on an asian... two words.
hell. no.
I love Iron man, but in an attempt to be "multi-cultural", they come off really racist.
If you were going to make a Iron Man movie, you should do the Iron Wars saga.
When Tony Stark and Roady (as War Machine) go and destroy those parts of his technology that fell into the hands of criminals and vigilantes, after a spy at Stark industries was uncovered. it was the best thing that happened in that book EVAR, and some of the heroes that also got some data from the Tailor (the neutral figure who makes a lot of gear for good and bad guys. He doesn't ask who you are, or why you want it. He doesn't expect you to ask how he made it. This was revealed to be "Forge" before he was an X-Man.) It would make a kick ass-movie if you followed the marvel universe, as a whole.

rumour is Terrence Howard has been approached to play Jim Rhodes.
I read what they are saying, and it seems the story gets updated a bit.
QUOTEIt's a very charged premise - you have an arms manufacturer who's taken hostage, in this case in Afghanistan, and asked to create a super weapon for terrorists. If that doesn't strike a chord and doesn't polarize the audience, I don't know what would. So, it takes a lot of responsibility to make a story that's appealing to everybody without selling out or watering the character down from his roots and taking him on that spiritual journey a person would go through as they attain a certain degree of enlightenment based on their experience. So, you have to ask yourself what does Iron Man stand for? He's not fighting muggers in Central Park.
Afghanistan? Man, that is stupid. BEYOND STUPID. Guess we don't have that whole "I need the suit to keep from dying, from shrapnel" either.
