yup, people don't realize they are already soldiers for the unregulated militia, if they are male, of age 18 to 45, and a US citizen. and they can be activated to defend their country to death at any time. the unregulated militia is the minimum duty of an American male, and thus the least funded...
which is why the right of the people to bear arms is uninfringed by taxation or regulation, at least according to the constitution.

They CAN be called upon, but will not again because of Vietnam. Our constitution is outdated and misread most of the time. I mean it says what it says. Marriage is between a man and woman. Plain and simple.
America has the job of fixing the world and the world would rather outsource it. I say we should walk away from the job and fix our own backyard if they can't say thank you.

I got a good chuckle when I read this article... why? Because CNN reports that...
Iran reported ready for serious talks on nuclear program
How is that for convenience? lol

sorry raum not to have read this post and reacted to it.
although the topic has gone astray, it is an interesting communication between the two of you. I respect what you did and applaud your courage for having done so. I mean that (I hope you have learned that I am not writing words to suck up). now. one of the things you often refer to is "access to information" you have and I don't. Look. If it really is like that, we can not really discuss, can we? Either you share it or you prove your points with an unbiased rehearsal of it. You have mentioned that a lot of Iraqis are happy with Saddam being ousted. I am sure that is correct. My impression however is that a lot more are UNHAPPY about how this was done and a part of that group long for the more stable days under the evil dictator. I base myself on news reports. Not solely European, not solely American. On general news reports - but hell yeah: I do put a lot of trust in BBC's coverage.
am I difficult? yes. I have called myself the voice of the opposition on ieX and there's truth in that. If I were on a board solely bashing the Americans (or the Israelis), I would start pointing out the good stuff they did with as much fervor as I point out the wrongs here. Both sides need discussion, not blind hate.

Hey, if I was smarter I would have joined the Airforce instead of the Army. But, I didn't, and I'm not. Spell check on MS Word is my best friend.
