If you really study history, there have been alot of things that have happened that make us shiver now. I mean to a people who are not civilized and uneducated, whats the difference between a horse, cow, and human? Meat is meat... blood is red, bone is bone. I don't want to chow down on somebody, but I can see their view.

I just can't get over the fact that they cut out the person's heart when he was still alive... I don't care how much drugs you've got in your system, you're gonna feel that! Absolutely disgusting...

With it being a sacrifice, there would not have been any drugs involved (except maybe on the part of the priests). The victims would feel every last bit of it. If they didn't pass out from the shock, they would have had the "pleasure" of watching the priests lift their heart out of their chest cavity as the last thing they saw.

Sick people do sick things. We look down upon them now because, in general, we don't understand them. We can't comprehend why someone would cut out your heart and eat it to appease a God. I know my God doesn't need me to kill to show my love.

Some pregnant women in the group had their unborn babies stabbed inside their bellies as part of the ritual.

Yup...That's pretty disgusting...

I wasn't sure if they would've given the people drugs... the article mentioned something about hallucinogenic mushrooms, but how would they know?

Even back in the real old days, when they did a circumcision, they only numed it with a paste from plants. I don't think they took much care of the people they were eating. I think the whole point was brutaility.
