Got it... I just disabled mine. I may still get 1-2 gigs more of RAM just because I am hard-headed and want max. I know a few people have said I won't notice the difference, but I want my Civ IV and DVD's to run without any lag time.

Ok, here I go again.
I was looking at www.chiefvalue.com and I saw they have regular system memory and gaming system memory. Now, what would the difference be in laymens terms?
The gaming RAM's timing is 2-3-2-5
System Memory I have I can't seem to find the speed for. But, the model # is 3AMD1400-1GB1-R

Well, the being hard-headed will only come at a price of knowing that your game speed is going to depend on alot more than your system having lots of RAM...I 'know I have been building systems for years, as have lots of guys here, nobody I know would max out their RAM for the hell of it...Its...A waste of money really, but its your dime...And that's all that matters...
IMO, If you're looking for max performance, you should be trying to upgrade all your components, not just RAM that's going to sit there an not be used...Install a SATA drive, a Raptor if you can...Get matching sticks of RAM, some of that good Corsair...A top notch video card...

Ok, upgrade the other stuff and not worry about the RAM right now. I downloaded the diagnostic program, but I still don't know if I have a motherboard that is all in one or if I even CAN upgrade the video/sound cards. There is no quick "look at X and see if Y looks like this"?

Then go for plan A of the previous post, and just look at the back of the machine and see what's there...Or maybe what e-machine you have if you bout it from the manufacturer...
If you ahve a tower then more than likely if the video is a card, it will be running east and west on the back, while th e other plugs, like maybe the USB, will run north and south...
You didn't get a manual or anything with your system..?

It is an E-Machine T6420. Here is what I see:
Video Output
* Graphics processor
* NVIDIA GeForce 6100
* Video output form factor
* Integrated
Audio Output
* Audio Output / Sound Card Name
* Integrated Audio
* Audio output form factor
* Integrated
* Audio output type
* Sound card
Mainboard
* Chipset type
* NVIDIA nForce 410
* Data bus speed
* 800 MHz
That means 1 motherboard for all I am guessing.

Now, if you look at the image, what are the 3 white slots above the modem for?

Ahh, well I stand corrected...
Usually, motherboard w/onboard video don't have AGP slots, but yours does...So in fact, you CAN upgrade and get a video card...Sweet...
The other two slots are PCI slots and are for expansion cards...
