He has an LJ... but a lot of his friends don't, so they can't really leave comments or chat etc...

Stalker, that program looks interesting. I'll let him know about it tonight. I'm not sure how many sites he's designed...

kra,

you can set your LJ to recieve anonymous comments.

i also know someone who uses phpBB for a journal. no one else can comment except in a place for questions and a place for guest book, and he sets up permissions for people to read, and comment, and a link collection

You don't have to have a LJ persay to leave comments. I signed up and leave messages for my friends, but I don't have a blog on there. I mean it's not like it is hard to sign up.

I didn't know... lol I'll let him know about that, too. At least he has options now.

QUOTE(Kramer @ Aug 31 2006, 11:58 AM) So, a good friend of mine is looking to create a website. He basically wants a site where he can make entries about what's going on in his life, and people can leave comments, and they chat with each other etc.

He's never done anything like this before, so I told him I'd look into it for him. Right now he said he's thinking of going with GoDaddy.

Are they any good, or is there something better out there?

How's your friend's website going? And what is it about? Is it all hard-coded, or was Dreamweaver used or something?

Is it up online yet? I'd like to have a look at it.
