He's not gonna make GOAT team in one year. He's gotta beat Magic Johnson and that's not an easy task at all. Maybe, maybe when he's done with his career but not with what he's been doing in FIBA
"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

I like Wade alot... my favorites now are Lebron and Wade. Lebron is just so unselfish... atleast he appears to be. Wade too... but the new little general seems to have his act together and has Shaq eating from the plate now.

Team USA lost to Greece 101-95 on Friday morning, never threatening for the lead in the second half.

The U.S. was outsized, outshot and outsmarted in this game, as Greece ran uncontested pick-and-rolls all morning. Greece hit 14-of-18 shots in the third quarter and Team USA could never get it going on either end of the court. Melo was the only U.S. player who really showed up for this one. They'll now face the loser of Spain vs. Argentina for the Bronze medal Saturday morning at 6:30. Hopefully they learned from this loss, and Kobe Bryant and Shawn Marion will be able to make a difference when the 2008 Olympics roll around. But they'll have to go to Argentina to qualify for the Olympics.

Wow...what a shock. I guess Coach K was moving the lineup around a little whcih included starting Heinrich and Battier. Must have been a pretty bad move. Here is the article about the game

Dwyane Wade scored 18 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter, leading the United States to a 96-81 victory over Argentina on Saturday night. Wade's gutsy performance helped secure third place for Team USA at the world championships, and while it was a disappointing finish, it was much better than their sixth-place finish in 2002 in Indianapolis. "This game was everything it was pumped up to be if it was in the finals," Wade said. "I give credit to my teammates for playing their hearts out when a lot of people didn't think so. This was a big step. We gained a lot of respect and love for each other. This summer was not a waste. We learned a lot."
