The Seahawks and the Jets have agreed to terms with Deion Branch on seperate contract offers.
Now comes the hard part: Trade compensation. Seattle would make a lot more sense because they are outside the division. Profootballtalk.com reports the Patriots would receive a second-round pick and a "pretty good" player in return. Boston.com reports of Seattle's involvement. It would be interesting to see if Seattle would send a receiver back.

I hope he goes to Seattle. They could really use a great WR

"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

NBCSports.com reports that Deion Branch and his agent, Jason Chayut, have filed a greivance with the NFLPA against the team.
The team is requesting a special master from the NFLPA to hear the case today, but Branch is fighting an uphill battle. The timing is difficult for all sides with roster cuts pending Saturday and New England's 4 PM deadline to negotiate with other teams. Only the Jets have talked trade directly with the Pats and their six-year offer to Branch had a "funky structure." The rising bad blood between New England and Branch's agent won't help a possible return to the team.
