Question about Free Trials

#1

Ok, does anyone know what exactly companies use to tell how long you have been using their free trial software? Is there a program or a way to find the cookie or registry key and delete it to use the program for as long as you want?

You know ruff, I've wondered that myself...I've always assumed that discoring the registry keys that gave that kind of information are encrypted and hard to discover, which is why the keygens are made....

Yes, but I don't have a kengen that works on ALL products. I want something that I can use or do for most, if not all, products.

Not how it works, as all programs use their own kind of protection/encryption methods..If your program doesn't have a crack or a keygen, then you should probably be using something else...There is no uniform approach to any kind of software tampering, so called, reverse engineerning...

InCtrl5 will do what you want. Also, do some reading about the topic mentioned in this thread which will alllow you to do virtual installations of different software and then enable and disable these installs from within your OS. Pretty cool stuff

launch the install of the trial software from within inctrl5. It will keep track of all files it creates and all registry entries that are created
