ISNA is something I was watching. The results are in.

a friend of mine pointed me towards The group "MuFSA", which he calls "Mufasa".

This is Muslims for a Safe America, a group of Muslims trying to resolve the growing animosity between Muslims and Islamic Law and America and its National Law. Neat group, with some great ideas.

One this they do is survey groups, and take polls with Muslims who are citizens. You'd figure the Muslims who come to a group like this are mostly noncitizen, and would come with the most peaceful of intentions.

Here are the results of the INSA from Sep 2006. ISNA (Islamic Society of North America)

Of the group that showed up (in the thousands) 307 we citizens eligible to be surveyed. Read this and try not to worry, if you can. Also look for the glaring inconsistencies, like Question #12 indicates only 149 believe that Al Qaeda is a real organization, but Question #14 shows 228 believe that Al Qaeda is attacking because because of American involvement in the Muslim World.

Keep in mind this survey is not scientific, it is just an inquiry from a muslim group into the mind of the 307 muslims citizens that attended their meeting in Sep 2006, and it is designed to bring awareness of the muslim mentality for acceptance. For me, it draws serious attention to some issues I see in the world, like more than 10% wouldn't stop an attack in the US, and more than 20% believe its ok to attack US govt officials for actions in the middle east. Only about 16% believe that attacking normal citizens is OK.

Now that I've read it, I am actually surprised. I didn't think that so many people would say that it wasn't Muslims who hit the WTC and that Al-Qaeda isn't a real organiztion. That shocks me. I'm a little surprised also with the number of people who said the botched attempts that the US, Canada, and Britain claim aren't real

For the record, I just closed it for the fact that it is so long... we used to have a "spoiler" tag that would compress it, but this new forum format doesn't have one, as far as i can see.

I also would like to say, this was shown to me by a (second-generation) muslim who is a veteran of the Gulf War who does not share ANY of the anti-American sentiments, or neutrality toward the issues. He showed me this to illustrate the points that there is some legitimacy to the concern of armed conflict in the states between American citizens with Muslims. He further wanted to punctuate that some of the Muslims who would rebel would in fact have citizenship, and that some of them are embedded in a completely western lifestyle, aside from their "religious choice."

These results seem to indicate that, as well.
