Don't be hatin' on my horns...

Mistakes are made in every game. To focus on the mistakes of one game is a bad path to start down. To say that USC should have won but were cheated out of opportunities by the officiating opens up every game that got them there for review. I'm sure we would find mistakes made in one or two close games that went in there favor and with out those judgement errors, they would not have made it to the dance. The same is true in every game and every sport for every team.

What goes around comes around and every team has benefited at one time or another. Don't blame it on the refs. If you want to take it out of the refs hands, make decisive plays that can't be questioned....

IMHO

2 oppponents that night besides Texas implies the refs and Texas...As in, "USC had 2 opponents that night besides just Texas" ....I didn't realize that was confusing for you, hope that makes it clearer...

What? No.

Three of you are wearing blue shirts besides Johnny...

means....Johnny is wearing a blue shirt....and three other people are.

So to say "They had 2 other oppentents that night besides Texas" would imply Texas was an opentent....as well as 2 others.

I realize this isn't important...and a small thing to have go on for a few replies about.....but it's all good..

I think USC got screwed...and I was going for Texas...

two others besides Texas = the refs and themselves. By making critical errors and failing to stop the big plays, they beat themselves... and the refs beat them.... and Texas beat them....

I guess that makes them a 3 X loser!!!!!!

LoL @ you trying to correct my English...

Besides

Pronunciation: [bi-sahydz]

Function: adverb

1: other than; except:

Taken from an online dictionary near you...Please, feel free to look it up...If I meant to say three, I would have said 3...How you looked beyond the context of the convo to pull that out, when clearly, you're not a wordsmith, is fantastic...

Tee Hee, you funny LG...

I was glad to see Texas win the game, I kinda felt like USC had done their thing, and that Texas was just as deserving...If there's a team I like just as much as, or more than USC its Texas, so I was pretty OK w/the outcome either way...

But Texas is who I play with on NCAA, so I may be a little more partial... /:D" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt=":D" />

Since when does my personal spelling have anything to do with the fact that you said something incorrectly?

And if you're going to argue that it lessens my credibility....I think no one here will say that I'm an english whiz...and I, myself think otherwise as well.

I still don't understand how you're correct.

You just posted how "besides means" other than......so if they had two problems (Since i still don't know how to spell that damn word lol) other than texas.......doesn't that assume texas is a problem...as well as two seperate problems?

Because LG, I didn't say, "USC had 3 opponents"...It's called "context", and should be implied in writing...You do realize that there are lots of ways to use language, and use expressions, and mean one thing or the other, right..? I would go through the mechanics of the sentence to prove my point, but it would make no sense to do it, as you probably wouldn't follow it anyway...

Did you seriously not understand the sentence, or what..? I post an article about USC, Texas, and the refs, and you say something about my sentence..? Are you serious..? And you fuck up words left and right, you misspelled the same word two different ways in back to back sentences, and then call me out on what you thought was a grammatical error..? You doing that, is the equivalent of me going:

LG, what is an oppentents..?

If we are talking about homosexuals, and I say, "Wow, Jimmy sure is gay today," do you take that and say, "Wait AJ...Do you mean gay like happy, or gay as in like men..?"

Relax...

The way I read it the first time you said it, whether incorrectly written or not...was cause for question to me, because I then didn't understand what you meant.

I'm not the type to sit here and point out grammar errors because I know I make them....but because of the way I read the sentence...the entire post was lost on me..

You seem to think I'm attacking you and the way you write...or otherwise I can't understand why you replied the way you did....I even said

I realize this isn't important...and a small thing to have go on for a few replies about.....but it's all good..

I think USC got screwed...and I was going for Texas...

to try and get back on track....even pointing out how I realize it's a small issue of my confusion that has sidetracked the thread.

I don't see what the need for attacking me in retalition is...when I'm not trying to attack you or your grammar....I know you're better at me than that on here....no arguement from me. I'm a horrible speller..and my grammar and sentence structure is often lacking as well on here.....and I'm not saying you're bad at any of the above...

I was genuily confused and felt I should take the time to understand what you really meant, in order to take it in and respond accordingly...and it got blown up into this because what was in question was the way you worded the sentence....

Next time I'll just pick the one that fits better int he context of the article and what you're trying to say...and just go with it and post my reply in accordance....

we all good?

Damn Kiddo, relax...I wasn't in 'attack' mode, just...I thought you were busting balls, and I was returning the favor...The way it came across to me, it seemed like you were nudging me a bit because of our past verbages in this forum...I thought you thought you caught me slippin', tee hee...

Chalk it up to tone and such that is ultimately lost when trying to communicate on a forum...

And for future reference, we'll always be all good until you decide otherwise...
