raum. my wording was strong, but you took my words out of context in a heated debate. I apologize for offending you. but whatever, you can handle it I am sure.
again: it is an example, like I gave some more in my FIRST reply (homesexuality and cursing using god's name). We do that, they look down on us.
NO it is not normal that women need four male witnesses to prove they were raped - i friggen agree with that, but that does not mean I disrespect their entire culture for it. and i will not teach my kids to do so. you do understand these words, do you?!

i don't think this is becoming agressive. i am just passionate about preventing sexual abuse.
as for homosexuality... i am not sure what the big deal it is. i don't really care. but if I my country, a man was killed for getting *pushed* by a another dude,.. unless he could find four women to say he was raped by the dude who *pushed* him... I would move to friggin new zealand and invest in some kevlar briefs!!!
i don't think this is about their "culture", you see. it is about their "policy." this has nothing to do with whether or not you respect their culture.

well then, why did you take that apparent shot at me in your first post, mentioning it is about culture?
I quote: "certainly, we should learn to respect all cultures, eh? yup, that's what my kids will learn..."
^^ that line is what I reacted to.
see... i said: that item about rape alone is not enough for me (or for me to teach my kids) to disrespect their culture; your sneer made me believe you did so.
fair enough though: we have been agreeing all along rape is not just. good to have that cleared out.
cheers!
