Why Bill?

Why Bill Gates? Why go for the nerdy-looking billionaire when there are less nerdy looking billionaires out there? Well, we have our reasons, and have no problem with sharing them. On this page we¢¢¬¢ž¢ll try to explain why we believe Bill Gates would make a good President of the United States. Don¢¢¬¢ž¢t worry: we¢¢¬¢ž¢ll keep it short.

QUOTE1. Bill is rich
Let¢¢¬¢ž¢s get this one out of the way. Yes, we believe being absurdly rich is a good thing for any presidential candidate. Why? This candidate could make a great statement by paying for his or her campaign from his or her own pocket. We honestly believe this to be extremely important. Large corporations don¢¢¬¢ž¢t sponsor candidates expecting nothing in return. Even when elected, Bill won¢¢¬¢ž¢t need to scoop up tax-payer¢¢¬¢ž¢s money: he has more than enough.

More importantly to me Bill is rich because of his own actions and efforts to develop, produce, and strategize (yes, even when betrayal was a effective strategy)... not just be born into it. His father was somewhat wealthy, but not instrumental to Gate's fortune. Anyone who EVER slept in a garage after passing out playing pong and slaying bong until he couldn't help but be the richest man on earth is more inclined to get my vote than anyone who is inheriting a family legacy of wealth. He is no nancy boy, either. He has been on the table with developers for every major outload from microsoft that has become a worldwide institution.

QUOTE2. Bill is rational
Rational thinkers rule. We know quite a few people may argue with us when we say we¢¢¬¢ž¢d rather have a rational thinker taking decisions that impact our lives than someone who just ¢¢¬‹Å“goes with his guts¢¢¬¢ž¢, or ¢¢¬‹Å“goes with what the pope has to say¢¢¬¢ž¢. We however think rational thinking is crucial in a global context, a context in which not everyone is a Christian, a Muslim or a Jew.

Yes, Bill Gates is rational. He knows how to create need, and manage provision very well. You NEED a computer. You WANT a mac. You KNOW windows. Also, as the market developed he was nice enough to allow other companies to continue existing. Mainly because he was forced to,.. but in the long run, there was no mass exodus from his solid products and strategy. He also seems to understand something very real; not everyone can exist to their full potential without assistance, support, and commitment.

And in all of that, he is responsive to outside input, and is well aware and willing to risk making changes, and works dilligently to resolve them. SUCCESSFULLY and CONSISTENTLY.

QUOTE3. Bill isn¢¢¬¢ž¢t selfish
With the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Bill has already shown the world he¢¢¬¢ž¢s not a selfish man. Some people might call giving to the poor and supporting the needy liberal, but we prefer calling it responsible. We believe the United States with Bill as president would act more responsibly not only in its foreign policy but also when it comes to handling social problems within the US. Bill says: ¢¢¬…œTo whom much has been given, much is expected.¢¢¬‚

Bill Gates has given away more money than actually exists. Thank's to electronic currency; Thank's to internet popularity; thank's to the PC,.. thank's to window.

The thing is, he isn't selfish, but he is both opportunistic and discriminatory. He will not give a company a break like he gives a school. He prices based on investor advisement, and let's those who have invested in the company take a real step toward aiming it to achieve greatness. CONSISTENTLY.

QUOTE4. Bill knows management, and he can prove it
Being president is more than saying yes or no. It¢¢¬¢ž¢s decision-making at the highest level and it¢¢¬¢ž¢s constantly keeping your guard up. In his many years at Microsoft, Bill has shown us he¢¢¬¢ž¢s an exceptional manager. Bill can not only handle pressure, he¢¢¬¢ž¢s used to it.

He is already asked to lecture to state leaders about how to increse the effectiveness of their own education programs. He knows technology, business. He questions his analysts, and doesn't like summaries. He forms his own conclusions, and will dissect ANYTHING if he has a slight interest in it. And even if he can't figure it out. He will fake it until he does. and when he does, he will admit that at first he was faking it. and if you ask him "are you faking it,.. he will say YES!!!"

I have every confidence he would make this country and the world greater. not because of who he is, but that he believes HONESTLY "With great power, comes great responsibility." and with Spider-man being a fictional character, I vote Bill Gates for president.

Moreover, I think his global influence and microsoft legacy is so immense he will command a respect no other could hope to at this time. and at the same time, he is so damn approachable and confrontational, but respectful when someone else is full of just as much conviction.

Yea, that was pretty convincing, but I don't know if I'd want him for president
