I seem to have lost my winter . Getting close to a month of days above normal temps.
Heres some pics from around here. We had a high of 67 today but i got to the picture taking to late to record it.
And heres an interesting story......The Ayles Ice Shelf¢‚¬all 41 square miles of it¢‚¬broke clear 16 months ago from the coast of Ellesmere Island, about 500 miles south of the North Pole in the Canadian Arctic.¢‚¬Å“This is a dramatic and disturbing event. It shows that we are losing remarkable features of the Canadian North that have been in place for many thousands of years,'' Vincent said
The ice shelf was one of six major shelves remaining in Canada's Arctic. They are packed with ancient ice that is more than 3,000 years old. They float on the sea but are connected to land.

I guess it would help to know were i live for this to mean any thing. Northern NJ were we should have temps from about 35 to the single digets in january. Just looked at the 7 day forcast and we get closer to normal (40 as a high in a couple days) but were back to mid 50s after that. Not a flack of snow yet .

I recently read (somewhere) that 2007 is predicted to be the warmest year of record! We've been breaking temp records down here in FL too. I like warm weather, but if we don't get some freezing weather soon, the bugs'll eat us alive come Spring and Summer.

I reckon Perth got some of it. The last week it's been pretty chilly in the air, right in the middle of summer!
