It is a graphic portrayal of Roman history through the character development of the families of Julius Caesar and Brutus as well as Mark Antony and two particular solders. The character development is strong and the story is compelling. It¢‚¬„¢s kind of like a soap opera with sex and blood and history all twisted into one.

Rome is an awesome show. Somebody gave me the first season DVD over the holidays and i've been hooked since.

Every episode i've watched has been amazing. Totally gripping and addicting. And all that nudity sure doesn't hurt....

I'm fully caught up to the current episode in season two.

Its a bit slow but what can you do. Especially when comparing it to the awesome end of season 1.

Although after the last episode it looks like things are really picking up again.

Can't wait till sun. to catch the next ep.

One of the things that amazes me is they charater development of Pullo and Vorenus. Pullo started out in prison when Vorenus chose him to help find Cesar's Standard, and now Pullo is a trusted friend of the Cesar to be Octavian.

One of my favorite scenes from season one was Vorenus telling Cesar he and Pullo let Pompey go free. Cesar Scolds them verbally and lets them go. Mark Antony tells Cesar they should be killed and Cesar's respose is, "Those two have powerfull Gods on their side. They found my standard, survived a storm that killed 5000 men, and found Pompey Magnus on the road. I'm not about to kill anyone with friends like that!"
