It's routinely awarded to the best player on the best team....And honestly, Nash is the cog on The Suns team, more power to him..! I hope he wins mad MVP Awards...But...

3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS...

Nash can join Barkley, Malone, AI, and KG as the lone players since the awards inception in 1955 to have won the hardware and not win a ring...

Why don't Nash have a ring if he's the Most Valuable Player...? Two times over even...Nash is averaging a solid double double...And he's nice with his...But can you honestly say that if you put another point guard on that team in his place...That the Suns would be bad off..? Jason Kidd..? Chris Paul..?

That's how I determine value...I can think of at least 5 guards that can play in that system and get those numbers, similar or better...Again, that's not a knock on Nash, but he's played with talent laden teams before, ain't got no rings to show for it...

I can't name a single person that can consistently do the things Kobe does on the court, nobody can...If you put any other two guard on the Lakers...They would be 10-15 games below where they are now, or worse...
