Hi Guys
Has anybody seen the new show October Road, I've downloaded the first three eps and I really like it. It isn't being shown in the Uk as yet but I've been mininova-ing it, if you've ever seen the movie Beautiful Girls, which is one of my all-time favs, the plot of this new show is a bit like that. It stars Laura Prepon from That '70's Show....if anyone's seen it, let me know what you think.

So, do I take it that nobody's seen the show, you all think it's so bad, it isn't worth commenting on...or what??

I haven't seen it, and more importantly, I haven't seen Diz around lately to post it...Tho, I'm sure he will when he gets back on...My TV shows are taking a hiatus every fucking 5 minutes, I could use something good to watch...

Hi Uber
I know what you mean, not being from the US, I don't understand all these breaks in the schedule other than to make the series run a bit longer...I watch almost no broadcast TV in the UK at all, I download everything I watch from the torrent sites like mininova and so on, funny thing is, for that sort of thing, I would be more than happy to pay for what I watch given that it would be in HD and, most importantly NO ADS!!!! When 24 first hit the UK it was shown on BBC, the state owned network which is funded by a licence fee and doesn't have ads at all so the show had impact, it was snappy and it flowed really well. Then by season 3, it had been bought up by the satillite network, SkyTV and, all of a sudden it didn't make sense, we had ad breaks every 10mins and the continuity just didn't work....so I started to download it and it was good again......go figure. Anyway, I decided to do this from then on and it's been really good, it also means I get to see the shows ahead the schedule here /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
Another big problem I've come across is the number of shows that get canned without allowing them the full run....Kidnapped, Day Break and Vanished to name but three.........oh, well...nothing I can do about that.
As far as October Road goes, I think it's really good, a bit soapy maybe but that's not always a bad thing. I have the first three eps, all that's been shown so far, I'll post them up for you if you want.
Best Regards
Goodog

You'll probably need to create one in the TV section if there isn't one already...
