This...could be very cool.

I always found Michael Bay's films a little over the top...

...but i think that might fit perfectly here...

take a look...it's not much, but it'll give you an idea...

The more and more I see the trailers, the more and more I think it may be pretty good...

Just hard to give it a clean slate, I grew up on the shit...And there is an entire generation that won't have a fucking clue as to why I would be upset...

But the HD trailers I've seen...This might be THE blockbuster of the summer...

It'd be like Disturbed covering an old Van Halen song.

You grew up with VH, you remember seeing "Hot For Teacher" back when MTV showed videos, and you nearly cried when Roth left/quit/was fired/vanished. Now, 20 years later a new band is taking one of your childhood songs and you hope, hope HOPE it'll rock.

But then again......

QUOTE(bannerman @ Apr 10 2007, 03:11 PM) It'd be like Disturbed covering an old Van Halen song.

Well look what Disturbed did with "Land of Confusion" by Genesis, "Shout" by Tears for Fears, and "Fade to Black" by Metallica.

Drop your expectations and you will have a blast. guaranteed.

hell, i already paid the video game off, and just waiting on it.

Grand Theft Autobot, hells yeah!

Lips on a Transformer is a bit gay.... but overall the movie looks like it's gonna be awesome!

I grew up watching this, and I'll admit I'm pretty pumped.
For some reason I get this "great special effects, bad movie" vibe.

saw Transformers a couple of weeks back at a press screening but i thought i would watch it with a real audience before making my final verdict on it. well,i did so last night & IT STILL ROCKS OUT!!!
even though i would say it is geared toward an adultish male audience due to it's BALLS-2-THE-WALL-ACTION from start to finish,
the chicas & the kids in the crowd (it was very mixed btw) were hollering & whooping along with the fellas & the geeks.
bear in mind this was your average Sydney audience who do not generally get crazy loud like i've seen American audiences do.
if you like giant robots beating the shit out of each other & throwing each other through buildings, then this bud is for you.
definitely a fun filled popcorn ride in the vein of the Fantastic Four flicks...with much more violence.
man, woman, child & geek should be satisfied. even the robots having lips works. i only saw one instant where the CGI looked fake. & it wasnt the lips. it was when a decepticon picked up 2 cars & threw them. the cars looked fake.
GO~! WATCH!

WARNING: for those easily annoyed, brace yourself as Frenzy (a cassette in the toons)has been turned into a spiderlike annoying creature of JarJar proportions.
