NBA star Jordan tops Forbes celebrity divorce list

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The bigger they are, the harder
they fall -- especially in the world of celebrity divorce.

Basketball great Michael Jordan, singer-songwriter Neil Diamond
and Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg top a new Forbes
magazine list on Thursday of the most costly divorce settlements of the stars.

Jordan's pending divorce from his wife of nearly 18 years, Chicago
bank officer Juanita Vanoy, could end up as the most expensive in
entertainment history, Forbes said, if his estranged spouse walks
away with half his fortune.

With Jordan having earned much of his wealth during his marriage,
most of it through endorsement deals, Vanoy (who filed for divorce
ast year) stands to collect more than $150 million, the magazine said.

I'm not a big fan of pre-nups but I'm also not a big fan of divorces. Only marry someone if you intend to stay married to them. But yea, Jordan is getting owned

Oh not for everyday people........cause we don't nessecarily attract gold diggers as much....but for people who are known to have lots of dough....divorces seem a lot more common....so pre-nup seems a lot more ness.

Don't forget that she is only going to get roughly half of a whole shit ton of cash. That leaves Michael with roughly 1/2 of a shit ton, which is still comfortable even with his elevated standards. Hopefully he has learned from his previous financial mistakes and will protect his assets a little better in the future. I don't know if he could survive on 1/4 of a shit ton.
