Truth of the matter is, I'm not sure, and moreover, the way it hurts it is probably the way it helps it...If you think about it, most of the demographic that watches and participates in sports is male...Males that like sports tend to like hot chicks...Not exactly science...I mean, if there was a poll about which female sports your would like to watch, Volleyball and Tennis would probably take 85% of the votes...I, for example, would not want to watch chicks play football...

Candace Parker is amazing...As a player and a female...I can't so for sure that I'm watching for one or the other, but I know for damn sure I'm affected that I think she's pretty...

The girl, Amanda Beard, I don't see how she's hurting the sport...If anything, she's doing the sport a favor by posing, cause whereas I wouldn't have given 2 shits about her before, I'll definitely be checking now...Through Playboy, she may have easily scored a million fans...A hot fit, chick dripping wet..? There is no way this could hurt the sport infact it will make it more popular and make people more aware of the sports that dont happen right on their door step.
