Ok my keys are popping off my keyboard and I can barely use half of them. I need a replacement keyboard, but I don't know what to get or where.

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook.

Thanks for your help. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

As we chit chatted about, first things first, you will want to call Dell and ask them if replacing they keyboard is something you can do with the help of a tech over the phone...Most laptop manufacturers have it so that you can replace the keyboard without much hassle...But its almost always model specific, and they are the only ones that know for sure...

I have a Dell and I had some keys pop off also. I just called Dell and they sent me a replacement keyboard for my laptop. It's not that big of a hassle to replace.

There should be a little indent near the top right of the bottom part of your laptop. (on the grey where the power button is) You'll need to pop off that grey part. Usually there are a couple screws underneath the battery. Unscrew, carefully take the grey off, and then just remove the keyboard.

It shouldn't be too hard but I'm sure you can get help if you need it

I called Dell and was put on hold for over 45 min and was redirected to the main menu. I just hung up and ordered what I THINK I need off of the website for $10.75. I'll just have to figure out how to put it on or whatever when it gets here.

I did this just 2 weeks ago, so if you do what I wrote, you should be fine
