Fantastic 4 : Rise of the Silver Surfer

You can expect me to see every movie related to superheroes, whether I want to or not...Chalk another one up to the 4 footer...

I'd say this one was on par with the 1st one, maybe slightly better because the CGI was better and the surfer could do some cool shit...If you thought the first one was at least watchable, you wouldn't mind seeing this one I'm sure...

And, although I'm no huge fan of Alba...At the end, I must say, she looked damn good on that outfit...

hehe...I'm not hearing great reviews of it so far but I might make the trip to the cineplex.

I don't quite get where they found the actors that play reed and johnny. They aren't terrible or anything but they just didn't seem like anyone put much thought into casting them.

Alba is always worth a look....

This is my oppinion of the movie:

Jessica Alba & Julian McMahon + Special effects made the movie watchable, Even some of the movies story-line was okay .... but i definitly felt it a waste of money (considering a friend of mine paied for the ticket ( thats saying alot ))

Jessica Alba is amazingly hot. And the fact that I haven't viewed either of these movies is a testament to how bad they previews for them look. Even the Alba-hotness wasn't enough.

Perhaps I'll watch them back-to-back when they go to DVD.

I enjoyed the first movie, even with it's flaws. I enjoyed this one even more.

Rise was ok. suprisingly i liked the original better (my gripes with Doom's origin aside). this installment seemed to be trying insert darker elements amidst all the fun. i put off viewing the first one for more than a year cos of the negative reviews...only to discover that it had found it's own niche (light n fun popcorn schlock) in a sea of i-wanna-be-the-next-Batman/Blade grim & gritty comic adaptations. it should've remained that way. also,much as i dig Fishburne,it was slightly jarring to hear his voice coming outta the Surfer's mouth ( i thought if anything they'd give him a refined voice like the comics imply).

I think I'll pass. I enjoy comic book movies, but the first one was so damn dull. I'll probably just wait until it comes to cable.
