Opening FLV Files?
Media Player Classic my friend... :)
In fact, hit up the resource forum and grab you one of those codec packs, it should include MPC and a gang of other useful media tools...

Re: Opening FLV Files?
Indee VLC will open them butt(SHAKIRAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!) vlc is not MPC :D
MPC RULES :D
To cut a long story short, VLC comes with internal codecs for everything. THe *ONLY* advantage of VLC over MPC is that VLC can play some damaged videos that MPC can't render. Otherwise, ass(SHAKIRAAAAA!!!!!) a player, it doesn't say much.
Now, to the point, for MPC, to play FLV (tired of the abreviations yet ? :P) all you need is the latest FFDshow codec pack.
CAUTION: I assume you already have installed codecs, so while installing FFDshow, tell it *NOT* to install ANY support except for flv files.
Enjoy all the youtube videos :)

Re: Opening FLV Files?
ok - so here is a question for you...
How do I convert an FLA (not FLV) file to FLV or WMA or any other movie format?
