Re: The Dark Knight
The guy looks as sinister as ever...
Now that I've gotten over that whole Brokeback Mountain thing, I'm ready to accept him in this role...I've always thought that the past Jokers looked a little too comical...I don't know which of Batman's foes are to him what Lex is to Clark, but I'd imagine that the Joker is pretty close...I hope they explore his character in this movie, much like they did Bruce's in Batman Begins...

Re: The Dark Knight
agreed on all the above statements. & yeah The Joker is to Bats what Luthor is to Kal. i too hope for his character exploration in this installment. always felt the more one knows a villain, the more one feels it when he does some chillingly fucked up shit.Übermensch wrote:The guy looks as sinister as ever...

Re: The Dark Knight
I know I'm a pessimist by nature but...Does anyone else have that hollow feeling in their gut that this won't hold up to standard that Batman Begins redefined..? I may have looked over it, but are there some factors that may cause this to be a letdown..? New director, questionable casting, etc..?

Well, Chris Nolan's still directing - and as long as he's at the helm, I have faith that it'll be a great movie. I'm still not entirely sold on Heath Ledger as the Joker to be honest, but the concept has grown on me. A new trailer will debut this month... we'll get a glimpse of what Nolan really has in store for us.
