The first Hulk wasn't a good script. Ang Lee likes to make his own interpretations of movies, and comic book fans don't always like things that aren't true to the stories they read
(I still don't know why Collossus didn't have a major role in X-men).
But, Edward Norton's about the best actor your going to find for this role,
(one of my favorite movies is 25th Hour). and the fact that he also wrote (or re-wrote)
the script seems that this movie should be a must see for all Marvel fans.

i enjoyed Ang's take on the green goliath for the most part, with the exceptions being the continual sizechanging of the lead character & the glaring rush jobs on some of the creature's CGI skin tones during daytime scenes. Lee's take was a FILM (in the same way '06's Superman Returns was a film) more than it was a comic book MOVIE. i think people were expecting more crappy shite like Daredevil which preceded it. i actually feel as far alooks go,Ang achieved the look of a comic come to life in some bits with the multiple screen fx representative of comicbook panels during the action scenes & the appropriate freeze frames every now & then. Hulk has held well up over the last 5 years whereas one cannot say the same of Elektra,Daredevil,Punisher & even X3. sadly i think Spider-Man 3 will also be added to that list of Failures. fucking studio execs interfering with & all.
I'd rather watch Hulk until my cornea became gamma infected than to watch Spidey 3 again...Between that shit and Ghost Rider, I'm not sure which one was worst...
OK, that's bullshit, Ghost Rider definitely blew serious chunks, but at LEAST they had the sense to cast serious Eye Candy w/Eva despite its inconsistency w/the comics...Kirsten Dunst couldn't get a latte out of me...I think she's cute in her own way, but the Mary Jane I saw in the comics was a fiery headed knockout...Granted, she was just supposed to be the girl next door, but still...I kinda feel the same way about Lois and CK, the comic book Lois has that jet black hair and those great eyes, but in RL we're stuck w/Margo Kidder and Erica Durance..? Don't get me wrong, Erica is a HUGE step up from Margo, but I can think of several hotties that would at least look like Lois if they didn't act like them...Like...Megan Fox..? Nadia Bjorlin..?

We're not sure if William Hurt was supposed to say this much, but he said quite a bit to MTV at the Sundance Film Festival about starring in The Incredible Hulk and the film's cross-over with Iron Man. (Spoilers Ahead!) Exhibit A:
"I have a scene with Iron Man, with Robert Downey Jr.," the Oscar-winning actor told MTV News Friday at the Sundance Film Festival. "It's a funky scene"... "I don't know how it'll work," Hurt admitted, saying it was a thrill to appear as General Thaddeus Ross during Downey's scene. "I know it's weird [to work with a character from another movie], and to know it's a device. We did something; I don't know what that's going to be like [to watch]."
He goes even further, detailing a big spoiler. Exhibit B:
"Liv Tyler, I play her father, General Ross," he explained. "There's a scene, and during that scene there are a number of things happening. [Hulk] has beaten Abomination, and then there's a crowd that gathers around, and they realize that he's beaten Abomination. That Abomination was the one who was killing for just the joy of killing; Hulk is not the one... "It's the moment of turn," Hurt added, "when society's relationship with Hulk stops being so stupid."

Edward Norton talked to Total Film magazine (via The Sun) and said there is no connection between upcoming The Incredible Hulk and 2003's Hulk.
"First off it's utterly unrelated to that film," he told the magazine. "This is in no way a response to it or picking up from it. I think like Chris Nolan and those guys did with Batman, we just said: 'We're going to start completely with our own version of this myth or saga.'"
While he said "no" to the role a couple of times until he was able to rewrite the screenplay, Norton now says the story will likely span more than one film.
"To me the whole thing was to envision it in multiple parts," he said. "We left a lot out on purpose. It's definitely intended as chapter one."
The Incredible Hulk opens in theaters on June 13.
so i guess this flick's success or failure is all on Ed & director Letterier's shoulders.

A photo of toys for Universal Pictures' The Incredible Hulk gives you a first look at The Abomination in director Louis Leterrier's action-thriller, opening in theaters on June 13. The Abomination, played by Tim Roth, has destructive strength that exceeds even The Hulk's own. Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, William Hurt and Tim Blake Nelson co-star. WTF?! i'm not sure how i feel about this. the toy looks nothing like the Abomination from the comics. at all. looks more like a muscular zombie or golem than anything else.the original :

a bunch of comic movies fail because they try to stay true to the story.
Comics are written over decades by different people, and have recurring and redefined characters. Movies last two hours.
Here is the beginning of the best hulk movie ever.
Teh Hulk Brakes Stuff
a)Hulk passes out and becomes puny banner
b)Banner is contained, and frozen.
c)Dr. Samson is seen interviewing medicated Banner, while guards twitch.
d)Samson mentions Betty
e)Banner remembers she is dead (we don't know why) and goes apeshit and Hulks out
f)Dr Sam tries reason with him (hulk starts turning grey, then flares back green), and hulk knocks him out.
g)Teh Hulk Brakes Stuff
h)Dr Samson tries to reason with Hulk, while trying to pound on him.. Starts turning green.
i)Hulk reminds Dr Samson who is the daddy. and is ready to kill him.
j)Lighting assaults Hulk, and Mjolnir hits him full force. Hulk shrugs it off and grabs boulder to smash Samson.
k)Cap'n America rushes in and stands over Samson's fallen body, while Iron Man uses repulsors to snatch away Hulk's (hulk does double take) boulder and hits him with it.
l) THE REAL Spider-Man snags samsons's leg with web and snags him out of way.
m)All the Avengers come back H.A.R.D. at Hulk.
n)Hulk dismantles them all but with terrible effort, and samson's call to Rick finally gets him on scene. Rick approaches weak but wounded and healing Hulk. starts jogging hulk back to Banner mindset. Starts talking to Banner like Betty is still alive, nothing ever happened.
o)Hulk passes out and becomes puny banner.

r)Samson mentions Betty as though she is still alive.

t)Samson looks up, seing Hank, Tony, Steve, and the gang coming in, and says "Avengers, he is ready. You see Samsons desk a file of Banners entire life get folded and put in a cabinet full of unstable profiles on superhuman persons.
u)Steve goes up to Grey Hulk, and says "You ready for another go at this Hulk?"
v.)Grey Hulk looks up at Cap'n and says "Please, call me Bruce."
