TV Guide is reporting that Keri Russell has been cast as Wonder Woman... no, not in Justice League or a stand-alone WW movie, but as the voice in Warner Home Video's straight-to-DVD animated Wonder Woman movie coming to stores in late '08/early '09.

The direct-to-DVD titles kicked-off with Superman: Doomsday last September and will continue with Justice League: New Frontier (Feb. 26) and Batman: Gotham Knight.

As some of you may or may not know, a Wonder Woman movie is set to hit the big screen in the future...For those of you wet behind the ears still, to me, there will only be one Wonder Woman...

Sorry I came to this thread late but I too agree with you Uber that Wonder Woman should indeed be played by a woman.

Ahem but anyway here is the girl that was cast before production shut down (damn strike!), Megan Gale...and I have to say ME LIKEY!

Wonder Woman in the flesh and With some real agility and skill, based on the last king arthur movie I saw her in. she was fantastic in it, and needs to really have some exotic ethnic tone to reflect her "Amazonian" heritage.

Linda Carter was great... but not making for a good movie. She just never had a real challenge in the show like the movie needs or the comic has.

Aish is probably one of the most naturally beautiful women in the cosmos...But I don't know if she has the physique of what I would consider an Amazonian...Assuming they would be willing to forgo that little tidbit, I agree w/you raum...

I think Rai is really beautiful but not the right look for Wonder Woman. I do think the JL movie picked right with the Megan Whatsiername pick but can she act? Who knows. It's tough to find the right pick not too young not too old. Gotta be tall but not too tall and stacked...I'd like to be part of group in the decision process to be honest.

It looks like our Megan might be the one(I'm an Aussie). She's just retired from modeling and is a huge star in Europe.

Personally I think Jennifer Hawkins would be right. Very statuesque and fit - our ex Miss Universe
