(arstechnica.com) -- Australia is preparing to launch a public test of Internet filtering systems designed to block pornographic content at the ISP level even though government-funded studies from 2006 show that ISP-level filtering won't work. Plans for the filtering were first revealed last year as part of a $189 million anti-porn initiative that was announced by lawmakers at an event hosted by the Australian Christian Lobby and broadcast to over 700 Australian churches.
adults should be able to view whatever they want !!! that system should have adults OPT-IN instead of opt-out of the service.
...and i believe the millions of dollars spent and will be spent should have gone to much more worthy causes sush as feeding the hungry and attending to the sick.
