There was a report today that Favre was talking to other teams about a comeback not with the Packers. His agent denies it of course. But I would have to agree with the agent and say that Favre is a man of his words and he won't comeback. Even if he's mad at the Packers for not making a run at Moss, he's too loyal to the Packer fans.

"If there were no eternal consciousness in a man, if at the bottom of everything there were only a wild ferment, a power that twisting in dark passions produced everything great or inconsequential; if an unfathomable insatiable emptiness lay hid beneath everything, what would life be but despair?"

I don't think he'll be back but it's not cause of loyalty to the Packers fans. If he was loyal to Packers fans he woulda retired 5 years ago. Maybe they would have won a few playoff games. ;)

It is time for him to retire at the top of his game. I know that he loves the game of football. I wish more guys would retire like Barry Sanders at the top of his game and not linger on for a pay check.

I wouldn't say he retired at the top of his game, if that were the case he woulda quit back in '98. But what he's doing now with all the "will he or won't he" bullshit is RIDICULOUS! It's all for the greater ego of Brett Favre. :x
