that is actually the problem with trying to accelerate to light speed. the closer u get to light speed the more massive u get. the more massive u get, the more power u'd need to accelerate some more. at very near light speed the mass is near infinite and the power for that is also near infinite.

interestingly enough, the things that travel at light speed are massless. these, of course include light itself, and some exotic particles like gluons, etc.
