Seems like a great way to jump into the forum with a first post I guess. I voted for Other and here's why...

Back where I'm from (east coast of Virginia near Virginia Beach), there was a chain of ice cream shops called High's Ice Cream. I think they're effectively history nowadays, with one single store still left in my home town, but growing up through the 70's (born in the late 60's, yeah, I'm old), they had several flavors that were something to remember.

Their chocolate ice cream won several awards, a custom blend they had done especially for their chain. At one point it was voted the best chocolate ice cream on Earth in the late 70's, pretty amazing for a small chain with only 14 stores, even in those times. Their mint chocolate chip was pretty awesome too, but the one flavor that will always be my fave was Brownie Nut Fudge.

That stuff was like a pure orgasm for your mouth, I kid you not. I've tried that particular flavor from many other brands over the years I've traveled the US, from Baskin-Robbins to Ben & Jerry and every little home town dairy in-between, but none of them hold a candle or even compare to that High's Brownie Nut Fudge. It was nearly perfect, in my humble opinion.

I miss that stuff, I really do...

One other flavor I loved years past was Frusen Gladje Butter Pecan, and like High's, they're pretty much history. Hagen-Daaz put 'em outta business in the late 80s, and I don't even like Hagen-Daaz anyway. ;)

Oh, a special mention to Schwann's natural Vanilla flavor. They deliver that stuff to your door, and my word, it's most definitely the best Vanilla ice cream I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. Simply amazing stuff, really.

For me, nothing touches Ben And Jery's Phish Food, love the ice cream and, incidentally, love the band as well, so it's a win-win!! :D
