I'm so sure he's dead and that Nolan is onto other villains, that IF I'm wrong...I will eat my computer. :p

I think Hollywood still hasn't gotten a grasp at what Nolan is doing with the Batman...all they seem to be looking for is a big name like the old Burton/Schumacher series of movies to fill in for villains.

Bring on Batman 3

"The Dark Knight" is still on the tip of everyone's tongue. But now, instead of folks breathlessly asking each other if they'd seen it, talk has turned to speculation over Batman's next foe. Who's it gonna be?

iVillage is reporting that the Caped Crusader may take on the Riddler in "Batman 3." According to the rumor mill, Johnny Depp might sign on to play the nefarious super-criminal. But caveat emptor—this could be just as false as the one about Crispin Glover playing the Joker.

Slashfilm notes that there are additional possibilities floating around. For instance, Phillip Seymour Hoffman may play the Penguin or Angelina Jolie could don Catwoman's skin-tight suit. Truth or fiction, fanboys around the world must be having a heart attack at the mere possibility.

Still, the "official" rumor mill is just one of the ways superfans are checking in on the next Batman flick. Many seek the scoop themselves. We've noticed impressive searches on "batman 3 rumors," "dark knight sequel casting rumors," and "batman's next villain."

That last query is very telling. People clearly want to know the answer, but we doubt even the filmmakers have decided. To that end, may we offer the studio execs this humble piece of Search-informed advice: Go with Catwoman. She's far-and-away the most popular baddie and there are already a slew of searches on possible cast members including Jessica Biel, Amy Adams, and, wait for it, Maggie Gyllenhaal. Do fans think Rachel Dawes, Bruce Wayne's one-and-only, was really the Catwoman all along?

Maggie Gyllenhaal as Catwoman?!?!?! I hate when a non fan that knows nothing of the mythos of whatever series tries to speak intelligently on the subject. Catwoman has to be Selina Kyle or we get a Halle Berry disaster all over again. But just being selfish I would dig seeing Angelina in the old Julie Newmar catsuit...MEOW! (not that it'll ever happen)

There isn't a woman alive that could do as much justice to the Catwoman role as Jolie, lets just be real...

But to wrap this up, the finale has to be EPIC cause The Dark Knight was awesome...Like I said, I want Bane...I want the movie to open up with Bane breaking dude in half, and we tell that story Tarantino style...Azrael and all that shit...

The only problem with Bane is I think it would take a three movie deal just to tell the story right. First movie they introduce Bane and the cliffhanger ends with Batman broken. Next movie Azreal-Batman. Third movie Batman returns to take back the Bat and whoop up on Bane. I don't really see the Riddler or Penguin (unless he really twists them) being Nolan material but Bane would be so him.

This was the best superhero movie ever! The only problemi had was that they killed off the two face to early. He should have at least died in the next one.

I doubt he's dead. He was probably knocked out. I doubt Batman would kill anyone because his right nut hasn't dropped yet.

Oh Christ!...

From 90210 To Gotham City? Brian Austin Green Makes Pitch For Riddler Casting
Published by Jennifer Vineyard on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at 10:58 am.

Brian Austin GreenWith all the campaign talk, it’s starting to feel like an election year: Johnny Depp for the Riddler, Angelina Jolie versus Maggie Gyllenhaal returning from the dead for Catwoman.

But there’s a dark horse who wants to get his name on the ballot — a name you might not expect — for the part of Mr. Ed Nygma, should the villain get a role in the next Batman film.

“I would love to be the Riddler,” Brian Austin Green told MTV News.

In case you’re thinking “WTF? David Silver?” — let us remind you that in the years since “Beverly Hills, 90210,” Green has rebooted himself as an actor. Perhaps not to the same degree as Christopher Nolan rebooted Batman, or Heath Ledger the Joker, but check out Green playing himself in “Domino” (for a much-appreciated sense of self-deprecation) or Derek Reese in “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” (where he’s barely recognizable), and you’ll come to see that Green has progressed significantly since the days when he competed with Tori Spelling for worst actor. Green knows it’s a long shot, but despite his role on “Terminator,” “I’d like to be in the next ‘Batman,’ even though I am busy killing machines and people,” he said. (We hope he just means on the show).

“I hope to God that they don’t try to replace Heath and have the Joker,” Green added. “And Two-Face is gone.” So they need a new villain, and the Riddler makes sense,” he said. Not that he’s thought it so far ahead that he actually knows what he’d want to do with the Riddler, however.

“That’s impossible to answer now,” Green said. “That would take years of preparation. It’s tough. Heath set the bar at a new level, which I think is fantastic for comic book lovers and movie lovers. He changed the face of what people expect out of those films. If you watch the old ones, I mean, they were great for what they were, having Danny Elfman’s music, but this is a new level.”
