Convert Flash to HTML
I currently have a website which is all in flash and I would like to convert it to HTML without having to redo the entire site. There is no movie or constant animation on the site that I would have to worry about - it's just text. Does anyone know an easy way to convert flash to HTML?

Dissect the animations in the flash program if it allows it...
Probably easier said than done though, one of the main reasons people flash out sites is to make copying it difficult...

Re: Convert Flash to HTML
I also reckon pulling the relevant stuff out of the flash bits and adding them into the page is the best way to go.
I suppose it depends on how pleasing the page looks with or without "flashy" stuff on it. Personally I find flash to be of great annoyance so I'm a big fan of simplicity. Many other people would disagree and that accounts for a predominance of flash on most modern sites.
Perhaps I've misread your question though. If so can you give us an example of what you are trying to achieve?

This is only possible if you have Flash, to my knowledge.trashtalkr wrote:I currently have a website which is all in flash and I would like to convert it to HTML without having to redo the entire site. Can you show me the site, and I will see what I can do (has flash.)
Easiest way is to save the flash file as a HTML file, which is possible in Flash. Otherwise, render the text value of the object library into a text file, and format in HTML as you would. That requires Actionscript 2.0, but can be done.

Re: Convert Flash to HTML
doesnt look too much work to write from zero the html for that site instead of converting from the existing flash with a software, are you going to rebuild the site for having more interactional content?

Re: Convert Flash to HTML
Yeah, I'm going to actually add an RSS feed under the blog section and hopefully add more content. The thing is, most of my friends are grabbing iPhones (actually I have one also), and Flash is not compatible with the phone. So I want my site to be accessible to everyone no matter what system they are using.
I could write it from ground zero, but I'm horrible with banners, and so that's why I was wondering if there was a site or a program that would do it for me
