I dunno. i personally think people who want to "go" after osama kind of miss the point. We should completely and UTTERLY destroy the fuckers we put in prison that helped this go down. i mean there should be outrage with what we do to them, but running around looking for Where in the world is Osama bin laden is just not gonna work, and if it does = we'll just create a monster in his place somewhere along the way.
And as far as finding out about protocol and how it will all get done....hes gonna have a great time dealing with the worlds greatest military beauracracy.
either Obama or Palin has a LOT to learn about how much power the president doesn't actually have. biden would finally crack some new files, but that is about it.
I think the Finnish guy who just won the nobel peace prize is on the right tip, when he says its about creating more employment in the middle east etc etc....
Access to football on big screen tv's in your own home, gaming consoles for the kids and having enough yummy food, can beat terrorism....(well reduce it considerably anyway)
we tried that before. The whole oil industry of the middle east was to build them an economy. it just didn't work with the irrational political landscape. that was the third time someone tried. i know soccer stopped israeli/palestinian violence for awhile, though.
whatever it is, we need to find a way to "humanize" them. we tried economy, market, elections, and we are getting warmer, but still no dice... yet.
but until they all really recognize the humanity of each other, we pay the price.
