I'm not feeling confident about my chances this week, but for some reason, I'm feeling lucky...

Re: Fantasy Football 2008
That could very well be right; week after week my projected total is above 120 points, yet at the end of it all, it seems my teams has been struggling to break the century mark. My toughest decision this week has been whether to decide to bench Larry Fitzgerald against the second-toughest pass rush in the league, for Earnest Graham in a possible lead back role w/ reports Dunn is injured, against a now-disintegrating Dallas D.Kumicho wrote:I'm not feeling confident about my chances this week, but for some reason, I'm feeling lucky...
At midway through the season, it seems that my team is a juggernaut: 3 of my wide receivers are the TOP 3 wide receivers in rankings (Larry Fitz, A. Johnson, Brandon Marshall), and the two others (Lee Evans & Calvin Johnson) are within the top 15. Think what it would be like if I kept Steve Smith of Car., and if Dwayne Bowe actually had a reliable QB behind him. I'd be a kid in a candy store.
Also to note, my two bedrock RBs are: the current rushing leader Clinton Portis, and the second-most consistent back behind him, which would be none other than Frank Gore of SF. Earnest Graham is perhaps my only weak link on the team, and that's because he is splitting time w/ Dunn in Tampa Bay, so he has a ceiling there.
TE position couldn't be more solid with Chris Cooley and Owen Daniels to fill in there.
QBs of Kurt Warner and now Jake Delhomme consistently produce in the double-digits for the past few weeks.
And my Defense was stout enough with Pitt. that i could afford to let Balt. go to fortify my Kickers (Elam, Kaeding).
The worst thing about having such a great team is having to decide which of the players to bench depending on matchups, injuries, rumors, and such. If you remember right, I made a costly mistake about two weeks ago in benching Portis, Cooley, Lee Evans, and A. Johnson when they all exploded for at least 14 fantasy points each. That's my kryptonite; my prognistication skills.

Lucky for us at most 3 WR can start. It is quite an impressive team, but I don't see Portis or Gore keeping up their numbers. And I'm still kicking myself for dropping Cooley.... F-in' Winslow.......
plus it's all health and matchups so things can change quick....

Sorry, my bad...darklighter1 wrote:Yup yup it's official! I now hate fantasy football.
but you still have 5 weeks, and only have to make up 2 game over All-Pro (who you play twice), 4th (once), and Gunn. And with Schaub playing out of his mind lately, you have a shot. But you might need to worry about that vulture Lendale White stealing all your TD's from Chris Johnson.

Matt Schaub is indeed playing at an insane level, and thanks to him, so is Andre Johnson, Owen Daniels, and Slaton to an extent. I was almost kicking myself for starting Delhomme and Scaub over Warner the past week, but they all played good to outstanding football this Sunday, so it was no problem.

Just to clear this up, how many members say they showed up to the league's draft... 3 of 8?darklighter1 wrote:I am mulling your trade offer Ero...I will get back to you soon.
I'm wondering this because ya'll put me in an unbearable spot of having at least 5 #1 WR at the beginning of the season, and deciding weekly which one will go off any given week; I already traded away Steve Smith of Car. for a RB2 in Earnest Graham, which in hindsight, put me at a bit of a disadvantage. And just recently, I tried unsuccessfully to ship off Detriot's "megatron" for Jamal Lewis... I'm glad Uber didn't pull the trigger on the trade.
