Very good series. Definitely not just a vampire flick. Good actors and can't wait for season 2!

Have you read the Southern Vampire Mystery series of books this is based on? They are pretty well established as a Modern Dark Fantasy series. Way more than just Vampires roam our bayous. I haven't read em, but got my girl a few for her birthday a month or so ago.

Vastly different in some places.

I was a bit hesitant at the begining, but it turned out to be very good. I am glad I saw it. I am also waiting for the second season.

They tried too hard to give away the killer at the end of it all. I was beyond surprised who they hinted at the beginning of the final episode, but it was overload throught the fifty-odd minutes of the finale.

Good show, waiting 'til summer comes for season 2.

If you are saying that the season finale was paced awkwardly, I am inclined to agree.
