Yeah you were the first person I thought of when I heard. Congrats Ero! First time in my lifetime I remember the Bears actually having a quarterback.

I was hoping the Bears would try to get get Convick, but Cuter is good...But, who is he going to throw to..? Cuter was throwing to one of the best WR prospects in the league last year, nobody on the Bears roster is close to him...I hope to see one move for a bonafied WR to complement Cutler and Forte before I think we've made it out of the cellar...But this is def. a good move...Got Pace too, which is only awesome if he stays healthy...

Yeah getting Cutler and Pace is great, but as A said, he has no one to through to! And they don't even have a 1st round pick to get a decent WR. So it's still gonna be a while for Chicago to do well. And IMHO I think they gave up too much for Cutler. 3 draft picks and a QB? Come on....

You know, I'm not really all that upset about the 2 first round picks. What bugs me is that they included a 3rd round pick also. Sure they got a 5th back this year, but Jerry Angelo usually does his best work in the draft in the second and third round. Plus they save a ton of cap room by skipping the first round and not paying 1st round money to whoever they would have picked. They most likely would have drafted either a D or O -line help in the first round and waited until the second round to draft a WR anyway. Sure Crabtree and Maclin are top tier prospects, but they'd be long gone before the Bears would pick at #18. IMO there's not a huge drop between the 3rd and 10th wr's in the draft. I'd like to see them grab that UNC guy Hakeem Nicks or Darius Heyward-Bey if they can. Both could, and most likely will slip to the second round.

Plus most think I'm nuts, but I think Cutler will help Hester the most. They now have a QB who can make use of his speed on deep routes. Orton didn't have the arm to stretch the field. IMO, Hester can fare just as well, if not better than rookie Eddie Royal did last year. Sure they don't have a Brandon Marshall on the opposite side to take away coverage, but the Bears have two good pass catching TE's in Clark and Olsen which should help.

There was no way they'd ever think of Vick. They made a "stand" w/ Tank Johnson, and would look pretty foolish turning around and signing Vick. Besides no one is sure when he'll be able to play anyway. Not to mention, other than his freakish ability to run, he's not much better than Rex Grossman. Both have big, very inaccurate arms and have shown no signs of improvement in their respective careers.

Most of all, I think this was a win-win for both teams. The Broncos need tons of help on Defense, which the multiple picks should help, and the Bears desperately needed a stud QB. Just who the winner in this trade will depend on if the Broncos' picks pan out, and if the Bears can sign Cutler to an extension and gets his head on straight. Cuz for all of Angelo's late round finds like Hester and Briggs, he really sucks are drafting QB's...

Ok, now that's a big WTF???

and DL, we did have Jim McMahon. If he was a little less reckless, and didn't have such a huge ego he coulda lasted longer. he didn't have the big arm, but the guy was a winner.

As for Aaron Rodgers, I'll admit he's pretty good. Better than I expected, and may even be on par w/ Cutler right not. But Cutler has huge upside potential to get even better, where Rodgers is pretty much as good as he'll get right now. Do I think Cutler will be the next Elway or Marino? Maybe not, well see. Do I even want him to be, not really. Both guys thought they HAD to win their games. I'd like Cutler to be a guy who trusts in his teammates and lead by making the right choices. Not just always thinking he has to throw to win.

Once Elway figured that out w/ TD, that's when he won his SB's.

If the Bears start winning, it will be because of Forte with a side of Cutler...Someone in the NFL must have figured out that if you have a stud at the RB spot, the more the merrier, you can win games...The Bears have had some shitty luck drafting RB's once Sweetness left, a string of guys who were ultimately busts...In Chicago, your pass game is for shit in 30 below...Hand the rock off, dump the ball to your Tight Ends, play bust you in your shit Defense...Super Bowl shuffle all over again...

Cutler will bring some respect to the offense, guys won't be stacking the Box, and they can murder teams with a two tight end set...You cannot leave Hester alone...You send a safety to cheat up, he goes on a crossing route and glides into the endzone...Double cover him, and the backs and TE's will rule the flats...Cutler will have plenty of reps to test that big arm he clams to have, lets see how fast he can get it over DB's heads into a racing WR's hands...If the D is healthy, the Bears can win the NFC easy...
