Star Trek - nacho daddy!

any love for the new Star Trek.

I got some for some of it. Always preferred Star Trek to Star Wars. more implicit philosophy. Nice to see they are adding some of the elements from the novels into the mix. The original series was awesome, but really TNG was my joint!

This new movie got some promise, and I love Simon Pegg (Sean, from Sean of the Dead) as the new Scotty! I kinda Like the whole new cast (bones less than anyone else - no one can play bones with Def K passed) and sulu ain't japanese, but oh well..., and but still not sure why they got Uhura in it yet, if only to specifically get an black audience. She was a late addition to the crew of the enterprise, halfway into season one.

Then again, they got a time travelling Spock... so anything else is game, too. and they are blunt the new movie is for a new audience. i just want it out NOW!!!

Damn Abrams, don't eff this up.

Dude, I always know something has the potential to kick ass when Ra wants to see it...I'm a fan of old Star Trek for sure...For one, even though I think Star Wars > Star Trek, you can never deny the coolest shit ever was Captain James T...Case and point:

Good luck seeing babes like that in the SW universe...So much untapped alien hottie potential there......

But anyway, yes, this looks good, and I'm definitely going to see it...I never liked any Star Wars other than the original, that next generation shit never took a hold of me...But this might be a back to to the basics, yet revamped version...

You mean Star Trek? I liked the original and Next Gen and DS9 but the rest lost me and it was never even close to Star Wars in my fandom meter. But yeah I'm lookin forward to watching the new. And why not have Uhura they have Checkov and he didn't come along until Season three I think.

Besides the chick that's playing her makes me want to go where no man (well maybe a couple dozen) have gone before. :geek:

Chekov was introduced for Season 2. I just found out he is in the movie - that is odd too. good casting though - not going to be the same though- and there is a in joke in his lack of similar appearance. So I guess they are just all over the place. well, they said it is a reboot.

Don't get me wrong, Uhura was/is an awesome character and nichelle was/is a sexy chick (age dependent), and Zoe is a very beautiful woman. but she needs more *allure*.

---

and another one from Star Trek - Avery Brooks - he deserves more work with a quickness111 Shoot, I would have cast him as nick fury myself!

"..I'm just really really disappointed the storyline made sense.."

That shit was gold DL1. Tis as hilarious as that Onion clip of them turning the beloved Iron Man trailer into a full movie.
