In January, German billionaire investor Adolf Merckle, who lost a fortune in shorted Volkswagen stock, threw himself under a commuter train. Patrick Rocca, an Irish property investor who lost millions when the real estate market bottomed out, waited until his wife took their children to school before he shot himself in the head. Outside Chicago, real estate mogul Steven Good was found dead in his Jaguar, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

And three days before Christmas, Rene-Thierry Magon de la Villehuchet killed himself in his 22nd-floor office in Manhattan. He'd lost his entire savings, and his clients' money, to Madoff's alleged Ponzi scheme.
Dudes...Seriously..?

I have never been rich before...Not even close...Maybe close to being well to do, but that's about it...But can you really get to a point where if you have to lead a normal life, you'll commit suicide..? I mean, damn...What is so bad about not being able to drive a 100,000 car..? I don't get it...Maybe we can get a billionaire on board to discuss, lol...

Well I am only a billionaire where it counts...Yea, you know what I mean....But...

The only thing I can think of are principles of sacrifice...The farther and farther you climb up the business ladder, (traditionally) the more and more you have to give up...I am guessing these guys compromised everything they had in their lives...Some may have had a "family" biologically speaking, but not emotionally or anything else for that matter...So when the stock you own dies, you die...and then, you....die.....

"And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all."

Revelation 18:14

I've dug deep, yet I can't seem to find an iota of sympathy for any of these assholes. Sorry... :arrogant:

Gotta feel sympathy, though, for the five-year-old child left in the wake of his father's cowardice and suicide.
