Karl Urban (Eomer from TLotR) was perfect as bones.... and casting Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) as Scotty was pure genius.....

Re: Star Trek - nacho daddy!
This movie reboots the series to include several things from the novels. Spectacularly!
Everyone but Sulu and Uhura is spot on. Uhura is still awesome, but Sulu was the only person who did not deliver a good character in the movie. Perhaps because sulu is so reserved and George Takai's voice is so distinct.

I think they are slowly moving Harold into the mix. It was mostly centered around Kirk, Spock and Uhura. Maybe the next one will feature more Sulu and Chekov. I just want more Uhura.

Re: Star Trek - nacho daddy!
just don't get caught up in details. if you acknowledge kirk was youngest captain, awesome. if you demand he be (like in the original series) 35, you will be pissed.
then again in the Navy, commanding officers of vessels are younger than ever, already. i am excited to see what else happens in this series, which introduces a new and exciting timeline.

whatever the case, it still ties for the best shit I've seen this year alongside Watchmen.
