This just came out and I'm SO happy when I read this:

dl1, with a healthy Orlando Magic team I don't see any reason why they can't be "back" LoL, because they are only gonna get better with a healthy Jameer Nelson back fully loaded.

If the rest of the league allows the Lakers to return all of their players, then it won't matter who else does what, they'll still be the better team...As I suspected, Ariza don't wanna go nowhere...All it would take is a gesture like Kobe to say he'll redo his deal to sign the other players and that will seal the deal...Sorry non Laker fans, I smell a dynasty...

Oh man I love you guys but you are living in Oz if you think this Lakers team is going to repeat. They're good, not great. The Kobe/Shaq teams back in the day were great and way beyond compare from the rest of the League and I don't know who's going to do it, whether it's Houston, or Denver or Portland but they will not get out of the West next year. You guys have got to take off the Gold & Purple tinted sunglasses!!!

LMAO...I love the Apollo Creed quote, haha...Coffee spitter...

But dude...If we're living in Oz, what's your zip code with your spotty predictions of this year's finals still looming a few pages prior to this one..? (Tee Hee)

If one can assume that the league will return to a somewhat static state...Who exactly is supposed to supplant L.A..? I'll give you the good but not great assumption, but that still leaves everyone else as just OK...And for good measure:

1999 Lakers: 67-15
2000 Lakers: 56-26
2001 Lakers: 58-24
2008 Lakers: 65-17

All Championship seasons, with only the 1999 Laker squad having a better defensive rating than the last team that won...

Hmm...well, that was the same prediction you made this year LoL until they just won the championship.

To me, the West is out of it. This current Laker squad will dominate the Western conference for years to come.

I feel they really dominated this year even with a 80% Andrew Bynum still rehabbing his injured knee. The only time the Lakers messed up this playoffs was with the Houston series. Not like Houston was a better team (they were under manned), but the Lakers just got complacent.

But when I watched the way they routed the Nuggets in game 6, and how they killed Orlando in that championship clinching game, God damn...

I expect AT LEAST one more championship from this current Laker squad, unless some miracle happens.
