Well, the first day of summer is upon us...That means lots of bar-b-ques, outdoor sports, and things like that...I thought it would be a cool topic to discuss various little things you can do when you are going to be outdoors that many benefit others, as welll as any other Grandmother type tips you have...
For instance, they told me that if you wipe your arms down with a dryer sheet, it will help keep mosquitoes from biting...I usually wear long pants, so the little bastards don't bother me as much, but my Mom does it for the kids and so far so good..! She wipes them down with one and then sticks it in their pockets when they're outside playing...

I remember there being something about baking soda and water or maybe it was vinegar and you put it on a wasp sting to take the hurt out. I remember it being smeared on, but don't remember how making it went down. I had the unfortunate unpleasure of my grandparents passing before they passed down such invaluable knowledge and before I was old enough to learn. :(
